Johanne P. Pedersen

Johanne Pedersen, wife of the late Tage Henry Pedersen, passed away January 11, 2011. She was born in Sohale V. Nebel, Denmark March 12, 1918, a daughter of the late Christian and Anna Hansen Petersen and was employed at Connecticut Savings Bank as one of the first female bank managers in CT. Johanne was also a member of the Danish Sisterhood Lodge No. 12, New Haven for many years. She is survived by her children, Tage Pedersen, Jr. of North Port, FL, Diana Melillo of Sarasota, FL, and Gary and his wife Linda Pedersen of Northford, CT. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Robert Melillo of Wallingford, Dawn Walczak of Killingworth, Gary Pedersen of Northford, Scott, Craig and Erik Pedersen of Cheshire, and 8 great grandchildren. Johanne will always be remembered for her great pride in her Danish heritage. Funeral service will be Monday morning, Jan. 17, at 11 am at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE, HAMDEN.
