Olga H. Farm

Olga H. Farm, 91, beloved wife of the late Nels Ivar Farm, of Bradley Ave., Hamden passed away June 24, 2009 after a brief illness. Mrs. Farm was born Jan. 3, 1918 in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen Abramcik Havelick. She was one of the first Traffic Policewomen in New Haven where she worked for 10 years and later was the head of security for 18 years at the former Edward Malley Co. and retired in 1991. She was a parishioner at the Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary; she was auxiliary president of American Legion Post #39 of New Haven and a member of American Legion Post # 88 of Hamden. Olga is survived by two daughters, Joyce H.(Bob) McGeehan and Shirley I. Farm both of Hamden, two sons, William N.(Betty) Farm of Wallingford, and Robert J.(Teri) Farm of Hamden, a sister Nellie McCann of Clearwater, FL, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary Pistey, Ann Mauttie, Louise Miron, Anastacia Havelick and brothers, John and Alexander Havelick. Christian funeral service will be Saturday morning June 27 at 9:30 at the Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church, 285 Alden Ave., New Haven. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN. Panikhida service at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
