Barbara S. Pavlik, 94, of Hamden, CT, passed away peacefully at Connecticut Hospice in Branford on Monday, October 6, 2025. She was born in New Haven, CT on May 29, 1931, to the late Ralph and Eleanor Birdsall Cutler. Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband, Henry W. Pavlik, Jr., and her brother, Harold Cutler.
Barbara worked for many years alongside her husband managing his salon in Hamden. She then worked as a receptionist for CHCP until her retirement. After retiring, they moved to Florida for several years before relocating back to Hamden to be with their family. Barbara loved traveling with her husband and children whenever possible and playing cards with friends.
Barbara will lovingly be remembered by her daughters, Susan (Dale) Taylor of Wallingford, Patricia (Lowell) Page of Hamden, and Ellen (Bob) Kramer of Cheshire; her grandchildren, Katherine, Kimberly, Lowell (Betheny), Brittany (Evin), and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Brynlin, Ryan, Cora, Violet, Madison, Mallory, Peyton, Aria and Declan; her sister-in-law, Dorina Cutler; and many friends at Benchmark Assisted Living in Hamden, particularly Carol, Linda, Lois, and Mary.
Her family would like to offer a very special thank you to the staff at Benchmark who not only provided her with exceptional care, compassion and companionship, but also loved her. And all the staff at Branford Hospice – including those from Spiritual Care – who provided her and her family with comfort and support for which we are forever grateful.
Friends are invited to visit with Barbara’s family from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT. Her Prayer Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Barbara was a wonderful lady. She was enjoyable to chat with! A full life and many nice memories for all. May she rest peacefully. Thinking of all of you as you were all so good to her especially in her decling years. ❤️
My sincere condolences, Barbara was like our 3rd mom, she always treated us like her kids and we loved her like a mom. She will be missed. The team the back together now! What great memories, may she rest in peace.
