Dear Linda, Larry, Doug, Bonnie, James and Wendy, my deepest condolences on the passing of your father. While I was deployed in the Persian Gulf war, I lost both of my parents within a 30 day period and when I returned back home, I discovered that another Funeral Home buried my parents in a potters field in Hamden. Needless to say, I was very saddened by this sudden turn of events and also disgusted and I did not know who to turn to. I was happy that I contacted your father who was working at a funeral home in West Haven and when I told him what had transpired, he immediately met with me And made arrangements for both of my parents to get rightfully buried in the plots that they had purchased in the cemetery here in Westville. It was my very first contact with any one in the Funeral industry and he made my family feel very happy with the way he treated us and the religious service that followed that he and his staff put together made it for a very memorable funeral service and reburial for my parents. He became a friend ever since, and I am sorry to Reid of his passing, but we can all be certain that heaven gained an angel.
Dear Maryann,
My condolences on the passing of Conrad. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years. I’ll always remember his easy going nature, his love of food and his pipe. Wishing you comfort and peace in the days ahead.
To the Henning family, I am sorry to learn about Conrad‘s passing. Many years ago, I tragically lost my daughter, and in all the shock that I went through as a single mother, I was put in contact with Conrad and Charlie who worked at the funeral home and they became like family to me. I did not have the funds for a proper funeral, but that did not matter to them. The respect that Mr. Henning and Mr. Roderick gave me is something that I will cherish for the rest of my life, they went out of their way to make sure that my family and I had very minimal worries and they always kept remembering me during the holidays until I moved away from Connecticut. I will keep Conrad in my prayers.
