Evelyn DellaRocco

Evelyn Linda DellaRocco, 98, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. She was born in New Haven on September 23, 1927, to the late Tony and Lena Pantalone. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony DellaRocco, Sr. She is survived by her three children, Lynn (Bud), Anthony (Bonnie), and Alan; two grandchildren, Michael Iovene (Edie) and Alexa DellaRocco (Krystin); two great-grandchildren, Rocco and Parker Iovene, and sister, Beverly Zimmer. Predeceased by her sister, the late Eleanor Marzullo.

Evelyn grew up in Hamden, graduating from Hamden High School in 1945, where she received the D.A.R. Award. She was employed by the Hamden Board of Education as a Teacher’s Aide, retiring in 1993. She then became a long-time volunteer for Masonicare and received the prestigious Luke Lockwood Award.

For the last five years of her life, she lived on the shoreline with her son Anthony and daughter-in-law Bonnie. She enjoyed working on puzzles and watching sports, especially the Red Sox and KC Chiefs.
