James Emmett Crowley of Derby, CT, son of the late John Joseph Crowley and Josephine Roy Crowley of Hamden, CT, passed away on August 13th at his home. He is survived by Diane Wilkes, the mother of his two sons, John Crowley of Ansonia, CT and Brian Crowley and his wife Amanda of Worcester, MA, and his sister, Janet, and her husband Chuck Thompson of Mystic, CT. He was a Navy veteran and employed by Better Basement Systems of Seymour for many years. He was also a member of the Derby Elks.

Private funeral arrangements will be made by his family.

  1. Jim was a great guy whom I got to know at the Derby Elks. I enjoyed his daily visits and our conversations. I will miss him dearly. My sincerest condolences and prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace.

  3. I will miss seeing Jim at the Derby Elks. He was a nice guy.

    He also worked with my friend Russell Winkler at OEM Controls in Shelton.

  4. Will miss seeing Jim at the Elks. Will always remember him singing his favorite song, Cheeseburger in Paradise when Dutch ran karaoke. Rest in peace Jim.

  5. Jim was quiet until you got him on a subject that he enjoyed. He never had a bad word for anyone. I remember how much he lit up when there was a karaoke night. Once again thank you Jim for your service. May you rest in peace.

  6. So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I met Jim at the Shelton American Legion and then saw him at the Elk’s as well. A quiet guy but a genuinely nice guy. Thank you for your service Jim. My condolences to his family. May he Rest In Peace ❤️🙏🏻
