Paul Joseph Cestaro, 82, of North Haven passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025 at St. Raphael’s Hospital. Paul was born in New Haven on July 27, 1942 to the late Umberto and Dorothy Anna Prokop Cestaro.

Paul grew up in New Haven and was a North Haven resident for many years. He was a member of the United States Navy from 1962-1966. Before his retirement, Paul worked as a steel worker for Allegheny Ludlum, formerly Wallingford Steel. After retirement, Paul would spend his free time golfing and fishing. He also enjoyed an occasional horse race, and a trip to the casino.

Paul lovingly leaves behind his daughters; Lisa (Anthony) Masi Jr. of Trumbull, Dawn Cestaro (John Romanik) of Loris, South Carolina, and April Keating of Bonita Springs, Florida; four grandchildren, Joseph Greco, MSgt USAF (Lindsay TSgt USAF), Anthony Masi, III, Daniel Keating and Cristina Masi; and one great-grandchild, Vincent Greco.

Friends are invited to visit with Paul’s family on Wednesday, May 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden. A Prayer Service will take place in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
