Salvatore P. Barese

Salvatore P. Barese, age 77, of Branford passed away on February 1, 2026 at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael Campus. Salvatore was born in New Haven, CT on January 10, 1949, the son of the late Elizabeth (Vellaca) Barese. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan L. (Kenney) Barese; his aunt, Anna Geelan, and cousins, Frances DeRose Kennedy and her husband Michael and Pasquale DeRose, amongst other cousins. A resident of Hamden for most of his life, Salvatore was a retired custodian for the town of Hamden, maintaining the Town Hall and the Senior Center. Salvatore was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
