Agnes 'Nancy' Malmberg Agnes 'Nancy' Malmberg, beloved wife of 53 years of John C. Malmberg of West Haven, passed away March 19, 2011. She was born in New Haven Jan. 31, 1938 a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Sanderson Scully, and graduated from Hillhouse H.S. She earned her B.A., Masters, and Sixth Year teaching degrees from Southern CT. State College. Mrs. Malmberg was a teacher in the New Haven Public School System for 30 years before her retirement in 1999. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children and spouses, Ginny (Mark) Kozlowski of Milford, John A. (Lisa) Malmberg of Auburn, PA., and Barbara Malmberg of East Haven. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Ashley & Nicholas Kozlowski, Justin & Sarah Malmberg, and a brother Thomas Scully, Jr., of West Haven. She was predeceased by 2 brothers James & Peter Scully. Friends may visit with her family Monday March 21, from 4-8 pm at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE. HAMDEN. A service of Celebration will be at 7pm. Contributions in her memory may be sent to 'Lung Life', St. Raphael Hospital, 1450 Chapel St. New Haven, CT 06511.

  5. I was so saddened to hear of Nancy’s passing. There have been so many memories over the years that she came to Lung Life. The patients and I have missed her coming to post grad. I will always remember hoping that she would bring in her wonderful baking to share with us (my favorite the scottish shortbread). Nancy was a truly warm and generous person who will be missed. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for making the donations to Lung Life. Nancy was always generous toward the program and it is very much appreciated. I know you and your family will miss her greatly. She loved all of you and spoke of you constantly. Nancy lived to the fullest fighting her disease. Debbie
