  8. Dear Dobie family,
I have very fond memories of working in the Food Service Dept of the Hospital of St Raphael when “Mr. Dobie” was our Vice President. He was always supportive of our department, especially, Jane Fitchett, the Food Service Director. I was saddened to read of his passing but will always remember him and be thankful I worked in that department guided by him. I am now a professor at the University of New Haven training future registered dietitians.

  9. To all of the Dobie family:
Very recently I thought of your husband/dad. I had been scanning old pictures and recalled wonderful gatherings of our families. This morning I was thinking of your family and decided to Google his name and came to this. My dad died on December 29, 2012. He contracted pneumonia and died in 2 days after spending a wonderful Christmas with us. I still miss him everyday. I have so many memories of dad and Al Dobie laughing and telling stories and what wonderful friends they were. My dad and my family truly loved visiting y’all and we all thought that Al was an incredible person. My mom died last October and so I am writing on their behalf as well to tell you how sorry we all are that you are having to deal with his death during this incredibly stressful time in our world. I just want you to know that I believe that dad and Al are telling stories and laughing in heaven together. My heart goes out to all of you. I’ll keep you in my prayers. With a virtual hug, Judie
