In Branford, March 8, 2003 Alfred ''Jack'' Hansen Jr., 70, beloved husband of 49 years of Joan Chaplin Hansen of 17 Vineyard Rd., Branford. Father of Wendy Rein of Mystic, Donna Burnham of Michigan, Kristi Hansen of Branford, grandfather of Morgan Rein, Kehly Hansen and Kerry Rein. He was born in New Haven, March 14, 1932 son of the late Alfred Sr. and Amelia Agne Hansen. He worked as an asbestos insulator for 45 years for Local #33. He was in the U.S. Navy for 3 years during the Korean War. Jack was a member of Branford Yacht Club for 28 years, Elm City Gun Club for 20 years and Ancient Mariner Drum Corp. He was a 1951 graduate of Hamden High School and an award winning artist belonging to the Guilford, Madison, Old Lyme and Florida Keys Art Leagues. Jack wintered in Marathon Floriday for the past 10 years. A celebration of Jack's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Connecticut Hospice Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, Ct 06405 or to SARAH 2488 Boston Post Rd., Guilford,Ct 06437.
