Ohio - Alfred Villano, Jr., 64, husband of Laura (Hobbs) Villano passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014. He was born February 17, 1950 in West Haven, CT a son of Alfred and Edith (Reiss) Villano Sr. Al graduated from West Haven High School and enjoyed a careeer as a general building contractor. He loved spending time with his grandsons as well as being an avid fan of drag racing and working on cars. In addition to his wife Laura of 42 years, he is survived by a son Thomas J. Villano, Sr. and his wife Angela and his two grandsons, Thomas Jr. and John Dominic, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 207 Main St.,West Haven, CT. Entombment will be in St.Lawrence Mausoleum, Derby Ave., West Haven. Relatives and friends may call at the Beecher & Bennett-Taylor Funeral Home, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven on Thursday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations in Al's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richard Ave., Norwalk,CT 06854 or to American Diabetes Association, P.O.Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
