  1. Hi, Alice was my favorite teacher at Bassett Jr High. I remained friends with her for years until her residence in NC. Alice and I shared the love of oil painting and often went to West Rock to paint live scenery. We had lots of laughs over the .results. She was one of the kindest, most dedicated teachers I ever had. When I graduated from HS, I entered Mt St Mary Novitiate and became a teaching Newburgh Dominican sister. In 1973, I left the community and pursued my .other love. Chiropractic. I have been married to Barney for 23 yrs and have l son, Marty (age 20) Our daughter Maureen, passed away 2 yrs ago at age 16 from a heart ailment. Say Hi to her from us, Alice. Love ya, Barb

  2. Mrs. Gordon is why I’ve been able to succeed. I am so glad that I was able to tell her that a few years before she passed. Eleven years ago she passed and I didn’t even know it. Approximately in 1956 in Bassett Jr. High, New Haven, CT she was my typing teacher. She was the best teacher. I am so sorry to hear of your lost. She will always be remembered. God bless you all.
