Alice Beverly Fisher, 61, passed away on Sept. 26, 2006 after a long illness. Born March 8, 1945 in Milford, daughter of the late Edward and Alice Pope Hay. Beverly, as she was called, had been a nurse for 32 years. She worked at several local convalescent homes and even spent 10 years at the CT Hospice caring for those who could no longer care for themselves. When she was not tending to the sick she greatly enjoyed time spent with her family. She will be sorely missed by her daughters, Mrs. Karen Vastarelli and her husband, James Mauro of Wallingford, Mrs. Tamara Fleming and her husband, Will of West Haven, Ms. Annette Vastarelli and her partner, Liza Poole of Clinton and by her grandsons, James and Daniel. She also leaves her four brothers and sisters-in-law; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hay of SC, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hay of Milford, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hay of Newtown, and Mr. and Mrs. Alan Hay of PA. Many nieces, nephews and dear friends will also miss Beverly dearly. A Memorial Service to mourn Beverly's passing while celebrating her life will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden, on Oct. 14th at 10:00am.
