Alice Connor Howard, age 83, of Hamden, passed away in St. Raphael Hospital on March 23, 2014. Alice was the wife of James F. Howard, Sr. Born in Carbondale, PA on May 25, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Connor & Catherine Walker Connor. She is also survived by her sons, James F. Howard, Jr. & his wife Barbara Mastroianni of Hamden, Patrick Howard of Hamden and Brian Howard & his wife Manon of Wallingford; her grandchildren Shawn Howard, Kelly (Noah) Vanacore, Colin Howard, Connor Howard & Cole Howard; her great granddaughter Harper Rose Vanacore. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her sisters, Frances Krantz, Mary Jones, Janis Braden and Katherine Withers. Alice was formerly employed for Stop & Shop Stores and was a longtime member of the Blessed Sacrament Church and their Ladies League. Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday, March 28th from the BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden at 10:15 AM followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Ave., Hamden. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery. Friends may also visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
