In Hamden, August 25, 2005, Alice Joslyn Blair, 98, formerly of 125 Putnam Ave., Hamden, wife of the late Leo Edward Blair. She was born in New Haven, Dec. 29, 1906 a daughter of the late George and Josephine Carroll Joslyn, mother of Mary St. Cyr Anderson and her husband, Robert of Farmington and Edward Blair and his wife, Joanne of Hamden, sister of the late, Josephine Gillen, Donald Joslyn and George Joslyn, grandmother of Cynthia Blair, Karen Jahn, Sharon Cerasoli, Michelle Blair and Edward T. Blair, Jr., great-grandmother of George, Stephen, and Elizabeth Jahn, Benjamin Cerasoli and Tucker Blair Ahlers. Mrs. Blair lived in Hamden for over 70 years. A graduate of the former Stebbing Secretarial School of New Haven. Member of the Council of Catholic Woman. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Sat., Aug. 27 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Bural will be celebrated at St. Rita Church, 1620 Whitney Ave., Hamden at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Friday (TODAY) from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Contibutions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
