Alice Louise Dutton Moran
MERIDEN - Alice Louise Dutton Moran, 89, of 119 Hamilton St., passed away Thursday, August 4, 2005, at Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center in Wallingford, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Owen F. Moran for 65 years. Born in Meriden on Nov. 21, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Stella Raven Dutton. She was a member of Center Congegational Church and a Past Regent of the D.A.R. She was a member of several bridge clubs and was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She loved the Red Sox and loved spending time with her family foremost. She was lovingly cared for at home for 2 1/2 years by Nora Tagaro. She is survived by her beloved husband and was a loving and nurturing mother of six children, Nancy Moran of Weymouth, MA, Patricia Gelinas of Brimfield, MA, Pamela Moran of Bristol, Robert Moran of Southington, Jeffrey Moran of Meriden and Barry Moran of Middlefield. She was the devoted grandmother of four grandchildren, Sheila Partlow of Putnam, Melissa Cotter of Shrewsbury, MA, Michelle Gelinas of Oxford, MA and Jennifer Moran of Plainville. She is also survived by two sisters, Lois Dutton of Meriden and Virginia Bushnell of Southington, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Dudley Dutton. Relatives and friends may call Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Avenue, Meriden. The location of the funeral at 11 a.m. will be announced. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. If desired, contributions in Alice's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
