Alice M. LaViola, of Elim Park, Cheshire, passed away June 19, 2009 after a brief illness. Alice was born in New Haven, June 12, 1924 a daughter of the late Alois and Christine Von Moers Schuster and had resided in Cheshire since 1986. As an avid outdoors women, Alice enjoyed golf, horses, and birds. She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Ty) Duhammel of Wenatchee, WA., Catherine (William) Kimbrough of Clarksville, AK., a son Edward A. (Deborah) Pass of Wallingford, and a sister, Margaret 'Peg' DiBenedetto of New Haven, and a brother Rudy Schuster, of Wallingford. Mrs. LaViola is also survived by 4 beloved grandchildren, Lindsey and Becki Duhammel, Denise Yocher and Amy McGuire, and 4 great- grandchildren. Alice was predeceased by her beloved sister Frances Eimer. Funeral service will be Tuesday June 23 at 10 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN. Friends may greet her family on Monday June 22, from 6-8 p.m. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Elim Park Baptist Home, 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire, CT 06410.
