Alice Papazian Ferber, age 97, of Hamden, CT, loving wife of the late Charles Ferber, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 31, 2018. Alice was born in Dirra-Daova, Ethiopia, French Colony on January 29, 1921 to the late Hrand and Sibil Elbis Devletian Papazian. Alice leaves her loving daughter Patricia Ferber and her husband Johnny Oviedo of Hamden, CT, and was predeceased by her brother Artin Devletian. In the late 1940s, Alice was married to her late husband Charles, a decorated WWII veteran, and then moved to Venezuela, where she worked as a private secretary for the French Consulate. After of the birth of her daughter Patricia, Alice retired to care for her family. In her free time Alice was active in both Venezuelan and French Rotary Clubs. Alice devoted much of her free time to the care of children and the elderly who suffered from cancer. Alice loved traveling the world with her family, and after the passing of her husband, she enjoyed the rest of her life alongside her loving daughter Patricia. Alice was an avid animal lover and a kind-hearted, benevolent woman who was loved by everyone who knew her. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on November 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Saint Rita-Divine Mercy Parish, 1620 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT. Interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, or given online at www.stjude.org.

Se que son momentos muy dificiles, pero tuviste la inmensa dicha de tenerla contigo por muchos anos. Es algo muy importante. Te quiero mucho amiga. Siempre.

  3. Like a wonderful caring mom, you showed me love by always greeting me with a smile, and although you were not my mom I treated you and respected you as though you were.
