Alice Sloan Morse

Alice Sloan Morse, age 90, of Cheshire, formerly of Derby & New Haven, passed away on May 11, 2015. Alice was born in Somerville, New Jersey on October 10, 1924 and raised in Mystic, CT; a daughter of the late John Sloan & Alice Achsa Clark Sloan. She is surviverd by her daughters, Anne Caruthers of Derby and Susan Misenheimer of Norwich; her sons, Michael Thomas & his wife Maureen of Middletown and Alfred Thomas of South Burlington, VT; sister Jeanne Moran of Wallingford; brother Donald Sloan of Mystic; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathryn Mickelson, sister, Dorothy Tullicino, and brother, John Sloan. Alice was employed by several companies, in New London, New Haven and Hancock, New York as an Office Manager prior to her retirement. She was an avid knitter and quilter, a great cook and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on June 10, 2015 at 2:30 PM in the Healthcare Auditorium at Elim Park Baptist Home, 140 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden.
