Alma K. Olsen
In Branford, May 3, 2005, Alma Krooner Olsen, 91, of Alps Road, formerly of Jones Hill Rd., West Haven, wife of the late Lennart R. Olsen, mother of David (Patricia) Olsen of Cheshire, Denis (Miriam) Olsen of North Guilford and Andrea (Charles) Putnam of Belle Mead, NJ. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Julie Elizabeth Olsen. Alma was born in New Haven, April 19, 1914 daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian Gress Krooner. She had worked at the Standard Register Co., of New Haven for 30 years and retired as office manager in 1984. She was a 30 year member of Trinity Lutheran Church of New Haven. Funeral service Friday, May 6 at 1 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Your Mother, Grand Mother and Great Grand Mother was a dear friend of my Mother and our family for many many years starting in the 1940’s in Montowese, North Haven. Please accept my and my family’s condolences for your loss. She was a devoted friend of my Mom’s. We deeply appreciate all her kind thoughts and deeds involving Mom. David, Dennis and Andrea, at one time long ago we were neighbors. I want you to know I do remember you. Dennis, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful help your were to me regarding arranging housing for my brother. I will never forget your kindness, Sir. I wish you all the best.
