Amanda Noreen Gabianelli, 30, of New York City and formerly of Cheshire, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 27, 2005. She was born in NYC on Sept. 22, 1974, the daughter of the late Dr. John E. and Karen Knup Gabianelli. She was a graduate of Hopkins School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Syracuse University School of Business. After an early career as a financial analyst, she developed a business as an independent fashion designer. Amanda is survived by a sister, Stephanie K. Gabianelli of Hamden, an aunt, Geraldine A. Gabianelli of Hamden, an uncle and his wife, Stephen and Maureen Knup of Brookfield, CT, and cousins Sarah and Daniel Knup of Boston. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Wed., Feb. 2 at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 a.m. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. Entombment in St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum. Those who wish to make a donation in her memory may do so to the charity of their choice.

  1. As one of my best friends at Hopkins, Amanda and I shared many good times together. I am so saddened by her passing, and only wish that I had done a better job of keeping in touch. I wish that I lived closer and could attend the memorial service in person. Stephanie, please know that you and your family are in my thoughts.
