Wallingford - Amelia Zolkiewicz Drehs, 88, of 646 Center St., died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of the late Otto Raymond Drehs. She was born in Southington, March 8, 1916, daughter of the late J. Tadeusz and Pauline Pomykala Zolkiewicz. She was a bookeeper for the Finast Stores,and was a member of the Golden Rod Chapter of the Eastern Star. She is survived by 2 daughters and husbands, Nancy and Donald F. Hubert of Clinton, Joan D. and Ernest M. Harvey of Murrlles Inlet, SC, sisters, Pauline Passmore of Wallingford and Sophie Albertini and a brother,Theodore Zolkiewicz of North Haven, 4 grandchildren, Scott Harvey of Kent, Dawn Brasche of Burlington, Wendy Chittenden of Clinton, Robin Pritchett of arner, NC,11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Henry, Edward and Vincent Zolkiewicz. and a sister, Mary Zolkiewicz. Funeral service Wed., May 19, 2004 at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Contributions may be made to CT Hospice Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405.

  2. We were sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Amelia. She was truely a wonderful lady. It was great to see her two years ago when I was back for a visit and we had hoped to see her again this summer. Our thoughts are with the entire family.
