Ana L. Nieves

Meriden - Ana L. Nieves, 42 of 271 Gracey Ave., wife of Rene Nieves passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 22, 1962 in Aguada, Puerto Rico a daughter of the late Valerio and Justina (Figueroa) Santiago. She worked at Atlas Aero Corp. in Meriden for 19 years and was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. Besides her husband Rene, she is survived by two daughters, Jessica and Yesenia Nieves both of Meriden, a son, Rene Nieves Jr. of Meriden, three brothers, Carlos Lorenzo of Puerto Rico, Hector Lorenzo and William Santiago both of Meriden and three sisters, Elba Lorenzo of Meriden, Maria Santiago of Windsor and Gloria Santiago of Meriden. She also leaves seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Isidro, Carlos, Maria, Consuelo and Eroildo Nieves all of Meriden and Miguel and Luis Nieves both of Wallingford as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by three brothers, Luz Matias, Miguel and Luis Lorenzo. Funeral from Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, Mon., Sept. 27 at 8:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Isaac Calichico OFM at 9:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Center St., Meriden. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sun. from 5-9 p.m.
I\’m sorry I couldn\’t be there today with everybody but I hope we all can get through all of this. Ana was a very special person I hope she rests in peace.
