Angelo J. DeVirgilio
Angelo J. DeVirgilio, age 82, of Orange, passed away on August 25, 2015. Born in New Haven on May 15, 1933, a son of the late Michael and Assunta Pierdomenico DiVirgilio. Husband of the late Marie Tammaro DeVirgilio. He is survived by his son, Michael DeVirgilio of Orange; brother, Joseph J. DeVirgilio of Lake Worth, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Angelo was a graduate of Hillhouse High School and a proud US Air Force Veteran. He was a mail handler for the US Postal Service for 33 years, a longtime member of the American Legion Post #127, and the National Association of Letter Carriers. Angelo will be remembered as a loving, dedicated family man and hard worker who always provided for his family and put them first in his life. His funeral will leave from the BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven on Friday at 9:15 AM, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Rd., Orange. Friends may also visit with his family at the funeral home on Thursday (today) from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment with Military Honors will take place in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
