Anna Katz

Hamden- Anna B. Katz beloved wife of 62 years of Israel George ''Kitty'' Katz of Coram St., passed away July 19, 2001 in CT Hospice after a brief illness. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden, January 1, 1914 a daughter of the late Oscar and Albertina Matson Bergius and was Head Nurse in the Grace Hospital during WW II from 1939-1944. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter Linda Katz of Hamden, two sons; Michael Katz of North Branford and Robert Katz of Hamden, two sisters Ruth Howard of No. Stonington, CT, Vivi Simonds of Los Angeles, CA, 5 grandchildren; Michelle Simonello, Lisa Simonello, Michael Katz, Michele Abrego and Jonathan Katz and 2 great-grandchildren; Kylie Abrego and Lyndsay Katz. A private funeral service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
