Anne M. Pierson
Millbury- Anne M. Pierson, 86, of Milbury, MA, formerly of Woodbridge, CT for the pat 40 years passed away on August 14, 2007. Wife of the late Eric Theodore Pierson, Anne is survived by daughter Mary Vancelette of Charlton City, MA and her husband Ronald and son Vincent Pierson of Guilford and his wife Theresa. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, Haley Pierson and Veronica, Reid and Jillian Vancelette and two nephews, Stefan Douglas and his wife Barbara and Philip Douglas and his wife Elaine. In addition to her husband, Anne was predeceased by sister Helen Ponilitis Douglas and brother Anthony Ponilitis. Anne was born in Ansonia, CT on October 29, 1920, a daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Valentine Ponilitis. She was a member of the Woodbridge Gourmet Club and the Horticultural Society of Woodbridge. She was an avid cook and won the CT State typing competition in the late 1930's. Anne and her lifelong friends of 70 years have enjoyed playing bridge together. Anne also loved spending time with her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 10am at the Assumption Church in Woodbridge. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday (TODAY) from 5-7 pm at BEECHER & BENNETT 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT. In lieu of flowers contributions in Anne's memory may be sent to the Millbury Health Care Center, 312 Milbury Ave., Millbury, MA 01527.

Vinnie, we are very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. She spells her name the same as my first wife Anne. I always loved that name. Donna will be at the funeral. Unfortunately I will not. But know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love ya, John, & Donna
