In New Haven, Aug. 24, 2000, Anthony M. Candela, 89, husband of the late Eva C. Lupoli Candela of 70 Bryden Terr.,Hamden. Father of Donna Canestri of East Haven, Richard Candela of Hamden and Wayne Candela of Cheshire. Brother of the late Joseph Candela, Christine Petrillo, Mary Ferrucci and Anna Tagliatela. Also survived by 4 grandchildren. Mr. Candela was born in New Haven, July 3, 1911, a son of the late Martin and Carmela Vitale Candela.He was a US Army veteran serving in WW II.He was a driver for Borden Milk Co. for 40 years and was a member of the Teamster's Union. Funeral leaving BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Monday, Aug 28, 2000 at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o'clock at St. John the Baptist Church. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the Mass from 8:15 to 9:15 AM. Entombment at St. Lawrence Cemetery Garden Mausoleum.
