MERIDEN - Arline M. Preece, 91, wife of the late Richard Wheeler Preece, passed away Tuesday, March 29 at Coccomo Healthcare Center in Meriden. She was born December 20, 1913 in Meriden a daughter of the late August B. and Elizabeth (Neibaumn) Seelig. She worked for Thompson Candy Company and Unimax Corp. on the production line until her retirement. She was a member of Center Congregational Church, their Women's Organization and the Koinai Club and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Arline was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy and her husband, Bernard Uryase of Meriden and Linda Trawicki of Meriden, two sons and their wives, Richard W. and Daphne Preece III of Vermont, and Donald S. and Ann Preece of Old Saybrook and one sister, Doris Stickel of Massachusetts. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Richard, Jeffrey and William Preece, Donald Preece, Deborah Beaudoin, Joanne Preece, Bruce and Bryan Uryase, Nancy Laurenza, and Elizabeth and Kenneth Trawicki. as well as eighteen great-grandchildren. She was prececeased by three brothers, William, Alfred and Frederick Seelig, one sister Adeline Maronde and a son-in-law, Kenneth Trawicki. The funeral will be held Friday, April 1, 2005, at 2 p.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Avenue, Meriden. The Rev. George H. True will officiate. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from l2 noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Center Congregational Church, 474 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450.
