WALLINGFORD- Arthur J. Dupuis, 79 husband of 58 years to Helen E.(Knaggs) Dupuis died Friday, July 9, 2004, at Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. He was born August 17, 1924 in Meriden a son of the late Russell Dupuis and Rosina (Hineline) Dupuis Scism. Arthur worked for 40 years for International Silver Company . He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S.Army. He was a member of Masonic Order-Meridian Lodge #77 AF & AM, Past Grand Royal Patron, State of Ct., The Order of the Amaranth, St. Elmo Commandery No.9, Keystone Chapter 27 R.A.M. of Meriden, American Legion Post 200, and Scout Master of Troop One, All Saints Episcopal Church. In addition to his wife, Helen he is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Sharon Lee and John Augustyniak and Beth Ann and George Crawford both of Meriden, a son Richard K. Dupuis of Meriden, two sisters, Bernice Eichman and Beryl Convery, two brothers, Bruce Dupuis and Thomas Scism, and a sister-in-law, Moira Tomlinson. He also leaves eight grandchildren; Lee Ann Barre, Michael Barre, Tracy and her husband Bill Harper, John Augustyniak Jr.,Wayne and his wife Kimberly Crawford, Chuck and his wife Jessica Crawford, Stephanie Dupuis and Sarah Dupuis, ten great-grandchildren, Rachael, Steven, Jonathan, Joseph, Brianna, Billy, Kaitlynn, Jonathan, Shauna and Caitlin, and twins, Raven and Sage who will be born into Arthur's legacy in the fall, many beloved nieces and nephews and many special friends at Masonic Healthcare Center. He was predeceased by his step-mother, Thelma Dupuis, step-father Charles Scism, two brothers, Robert Dupuis and Harold Dupuis and a sister-in-law, Betty Dupuis, brothers-in-law, James Convery, Robert Eichman and George Tomlinson and a daughter-in-law Susan Dupuis. Funeral service Tuesday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. from Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden and at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church 201 West Main St., Meriden. The Rev. Irvin (Sherm) Gagnon will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, July 12 from 4-8:30 p.m. An Amaranth service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the heathcare team and support staff at the Masonic Healthcare Center. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Book of Remembrance, All Saints Episcopal Church, 201 West Main St., Meriden, Ct 06451.
