Avis L. Kirchstein

Avis L. Kirchstein, 90, of Meriden died Sat., March 1, 2003 at the Masonic Home Acute Care Center in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Harold Kirchstein, Sr. Born in Meriden, April 14, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Gustave and Bertha Wusterbarth Lipfert. She was a graduate of Meriden High School Class of 1929. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the Christian Fellowship Society. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Artkop of Meriden, a son, Harold Kirchstein, Jr. of Meriden, five grandchildren, Sara Kirchstein of Meriden, Wayne Kirchstein of Meriden, Dean Artkop of Durham, Lori Combs of North Branford and Wesley Artkop of Florida and four great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be Tues., March 4, 2003 at St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden, with the Rev. David Brinkley officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10 - 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date. BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden in care of arrangements.
