SOUTHINGTON - Barbara Heilman Sternberg, 91, of 17Charles St., Plantsville, died Thursday, June 30, 2005 at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington. She was the wife of the late Adolph H. Sternberg. Born in New Haven on May 9, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Steinigans Sternberg and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Meriden. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. She is survived by a son, Ronald Sternberg of Plantsville, six grandchildren, Gina and John Kluza of Hebron, Gino and Sharon Sternberg of Kensington, Cynthia and Walt Galko of Cheshire, Kimberly and Frank Falcone, Scott Sternberg and Dawn and Al Carbone, all of Wallingford; ten great-grandchildren, Brianna, Cameron and Hayden Kluza, Jacqueline and Valerie Sternberg, Brittany Galko, Kayleigh and Rebecca Falcone and Carlie and Kyle Carbone and her best friend, her dog Shelly. The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 164 Hanover St., Meriden. The Rev. Perry L. Beaver will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Gove Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
