Barbara Stott Tolman

BARBARA S. TOLMAN Orange- Barbara Stott Tolman, wife of Henry Tolman II, of Orange Center Rd. passed away May 12, 2002. She was born in Franklin, MA. September 11, 1911 a daughter of the late Leroy W. and Annie Arnold Stott and was a graduate of Dean Academy and Connecticut College. Mrs. Tolman was a Charter member of the Church of the Good Shepard, a member of the first vestry, and had served as President of the Episcopal Church Women. In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Nancy Stass of New Canaan, CT, Joanne Parker of Glen Carbon, IL, a sister Dorothy Richards of North Branford, CT, and three grandchildren; Christina Lawrence of Glen Carbon, IL, Andrew Parker of Troy, IL, and Kyle Stass of New York, NY. She was predeceased by a sister Josephine Pettingill. Burial Office and Celebration of the Holy Eucharist will be Wednesday, May 15, at 11 AM in the Church of the Good Shepard, 680 Racebrook Rd., Orange. Burial will be private. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., at Court St., West Haven.
