Beatrice Menasian Carolla

Beatrice Menasian Carolla, 91, wife of the late John G. Carolla, of Shepard Hill Rd. Hamden, passed away Sept. 20, 2006 at CT Hospice after a brief illness. Mother of Philip Carolla and his wife, Jean of Hamden, sister of Virginia Jurkiewicz and her husband, John of Hamden and Besse Counihan of Wallingford. She is also survived by granddaughters, Gina Addona and Lauren Carolla both of Wallingford and great-granddaughters, Ashley and Amanda Addona and several nieces and nephews. Beatrice was born in New Haven, Oct. 15, 1914 a daughter of the late John and Louise Alexander Menasian. She worked as a bookkeeper and a rug repairer in the family rug business, Menasian Rug Co. for 37 years. She was a resident of Hamden for 18 years, she previously lived in Westville and was a former member of the United Church of Westville. Funeral service will be Monday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
