Greeley, Benita. In Weston, MA. on Oct. 8, 2004. Benita Pape Greeley, formerly of Woodbridge, CT. Wife of the late Wilder J. Greeley. Born Nov. 6, 1909, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Julia Bolton Pape , publisher of ''The Waterbury Republican'' and ''The Waterbury American''. The Greeley's were married for 67 years and lived in Woodbridge until she moved to Weston in 2001. She was a regular summer resident of Madison since 1920. Mrs. Greeley was a Director and Vice President of the American Republican, Inc., W.J. Pape Trust, The Pape Family Trusts, a Director and Vice President of the Paper Delivery, Inc., President of the Woodbridge Skating Rink, Inc. and a Trustee of the Woodbridge Library. She was listed in Who's Who of American Women. Benita is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Sherwood and her husband Peter Sherwood of Newton, MA., Grandsons , Christopher Sherwood of Santa Clara, CA. and Stefon Sherwood of Watertown, MA., many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Patience Greeley. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Church of Christ, 5 Meetinghouse Lane, Woodbridge on Tuesday, Oct. 26th, at 11:30 A.M.
