Bernard F. FitzSimons III
Bernard F. FitzSimons III, 82, husband of the late Shirley Stokes FitzSimons, passed away on May 9, 2012 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Detroit, MI on August 17, 1929 to the late Bernard and Irene Fletcher FitzSimons, Jr. Bernard is survived by his five children and their spouses, Patricia & Joseph McTague, Bernard & Deborah FitzSimons, and Thomas & Mary Sue FitzSimons all of Hamden, Judith FitzSimons of Ormond Beach, FL, and Daniel & Tracy FitzSimons of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren, Michael & Terence McTague, Bernie, Scott, Tom & Christopher FitzSimons and Matt Needle. He was predeceased by a brother Joseph 'Dick' Healy. His Funeral Service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT on Monday, May 14th at 11 A.M. Friends may visit with his family on Sunday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to CT Food Bank, P.O.
