Bernard S. Paier
Bernard S. Paier, age 86, of Pace, Florida passed away on October 21, 2018. Born in Hamden, CT on August 26, 1932, he was a son of the late Sidney & Marion (Mikolinski) Paier. He was a resident of Hamden all his life before moving to Florida to live with his daughter in 2012. Bernie was predeceased by his wife Carol (Shields) Paier and his brother Sid Paier. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Paier of Bristol, Ellen Richmond & her husband Paul of Franklin, MA andJudith Dallman & her husband Alan of Pace, FL; his grandchildren, Catrina Millares, Alyson Lessard, Alex Dallman, Matthew Richmond, & Cameron Richmond; his great-grandchildren Logan, Haley, & Morgan, and nieces & nephews. Bernie was a active member of the former St. John the Baptist Church in New Haven for many years. He was a member of their Holy Name Society. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and the NY Giants. Bernie was able to fulfill his dream of attending his granddaughter's wedding this past Saturday before his passing on Sunday. Friends may visit with his family on Thursday, October 25th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden prior to his Funeral Service that will begin at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamden.
