Betty Timm, 91, a life-long Meriden resident, wife of the late Robert Timm, passed away on June 2, 2020 at her home. Born in Meriden on March 8, 1929, a daughter of the late Paul and Ruth Lambert Smith; Betty leaves her daughters, Ruth Green of Meriden, and Linda Timm of Milford. She also leaves her grandchildren; Marcus Green and Gregory Odom, great-grandchildren; Hali, Sidney, Avery and Mason Green, and many nieces and nephews, who all adored her. She was predeceased by her sisters, Shirley Fuqua and Rita Smith, and brother-in-law Richard Fuqua. She especially loved her niece Iris Fuqua and family.
A private graveside ceremony will be held in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden, where she will be interred with her late husband Robert. Arrangements are under the direction of Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, Meriden.
We wish to express our love to Betty’s family during this time of loss. Our friendship goes way back to the 1960’s when we moved to So. Meriden and bought Shirley & Richard’s house before living on Cutlery Ave. next door to the Timm’s. Our daughter’s friends included Iris & David Fuqua. Betty was always a sweet and gentle lady. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Timm was always had a smile on her face and was a very pleasant person. She invited the neighborhood kids over to hang out and spend time with her daughter Linda. My condolences to Ruthie and Linda and the rest of her family.
My Mamacita…..always someone I could go to, cry to and love. Through thick and thin Aunt Betty and Ruthie were always there for me. Her beautiful soul will be missed forever!
