Beverly Tischer

Beverly Polley Tischer, age 96, of Wallingford passed away on Feb. 15, 2018. Beverly was the widow of Harold E. Tischer. Born in New Haven on December 5, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Gordon & Carriene (Olmstead) Polley. She is survived by her daughter Judy Gimler & her husband Douglas of Morgan, VT; her sons Bruce Tischer & his wife Susan of West Haven and David Tischer & his wife Beverly of Bethany; grandchildren Debbie, Doug, Tammi and Michelle and 11 great-grandchildren. Beverly was predeceased by her daughter Sandra Hodgkinson and grandsons Mark Hodgkinson, Adam Gimler & Bruce H. Tischer. A former resident of Orange for over 40 years she was a secretary at the Hopkins School before her retirement. Beverly always enjoyed the summers in Bristol, NH and Newfound Lake and her winters at the family condominium in Naples, Florida. Graveside Service will be held Monday, August 20, 2018 at 1:00PM at Beaverdale Memorial Park, Section-G in Hamden. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden.
