MERIDEN - Carl David Gade, 53, of 127l North Colony Road, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at MidState Medical Center. He was the husband of Sandra Albert Gade. Born in Meriden on April 27, 1951, he was the son of the late Norman Frederick and Edith Ginther Gade. He was employed as an assistant test technician for B. F. Goodrich in Hartford and was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He loved animals, especially his cats. Carl loved all outdoor sports, going to the beach, loved to sing and longed to be a member of the church choir, and played softball for the city. His belief and faith in God kept him going throughout his life. He was a devoted husband to Sandy, always going out of his way for her, was her best friend and right arm through their 26 years of marriage. He will be deeply missed by his children and many friends. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carlene Gade and Kirsten Gade, both of Meriden; two sisters, Linda Salter and her husband, Lee of Southington and Norma Wagner and her husband, Robert of Kissimmee, FL; two aunts and two uncles, Dorothea Dickinson of Plantsville, Hedy and Jack Gade of Meriden and Ken Knowles of Illinois and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law whom he loved dearly He was predeceased by brother, Richard Gade. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 164 Hanover St., Meriden. The Rev. Perry L. Beaver will officiate. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or to the family for the children's education.
