Carl F. Sievert
Carl F. Sievert, 88, died at Gaylord Hospital, Wallingford, June 26, 2001, husband of Adeline Hintz Sievert of 24 Pleasant St., Yalesville. Father of Christian Sievert and his wife Donna, of Meriden and the late Frederick ''Rick'' Sievert and his wife Roxanne of Yalesville, grandfather of Erika, Jennifer and Lauren Sievert all of Meriden. He was predeceased by a brother Ernest Sievert. Mr. Sievert was born in Meriden, June 23, 1913, son of the late H. Richard and Anna Reinsdorf Sievert. He was a salesman for the Hubbard-Hall Co. of Waterbury, retired in 1988 after 35 years. An acitive member of St. John Lutheran Church, Meriden serving as Chairman of the Greeting Committee and was a Church Elder and a member of Compass Masonic Lodge # 9 of Wallingford. Funeral service will be at St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden, Friday June 29 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call at the chuch Friday morning from 10 to 11 A.M. Contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church. Arrangements with BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
I was so terribly sorry to hear of the loss of such a wonderful person. Carl will be missed by many – he was a very inspirational and caring man. I truly enjoyed working with he and Adeline at St. John.
