Prospect; Carleton Graves, 66, of 16 Maple Dr., died Wed., Dec. 24, 2003 at Beacon Brook Health Center after a short encounter with cancer. Mr. Graves was born Oct. 14, 1937 in New Haven a son of the late Charles and Helen Hughes Graves. He lived most of his life in the Westville section of New Haven and was a graduate of Hillhouse High School. He worked for over 25 years at Dworkin Chevorlet until his retirement. Carl served six years in the U.S. Army Reserves. Besides his longtime companion, Annette, he leaves a daughter, Michele and granddaughter, Morgan of Roswell, GA, a sister, Virginia Connell and 24 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Carleton Graves. A graveside service will be held at Grove Street Cemetery on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. Contributions may be sent to Waterbury VNA Hospice Home Care, 58 Brookside Rd., Waterbury, CT 06708. Arrangements under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.

  1. I known Carl for many years..he attended my wedding and the folowing year i attended his wedding .. he became my brother-in-law… many fond memories going on his boat….and the birth of his daughter Michele…may he rest in peace.
