Carol Stempel Vartuli, 65, wife of Anthony Vartuli of West Haven passed away March 31, 2012 in the Hospital of St. Raphael. Mother of Anna of Stamford, Jason of East Haven and Alfred of Stamford. Also survived by eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Stempel. Carol was born April 13, 1946 in Port Chester, NY daughter of the late Rudolph and Josephine Belmonte Stempel. Memorial Mass Monday, April 9 in Our Lady of Victory Church, West Haven at 11 a.m. Burial in St. Lawrence Mausoleum. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center , PO Box 27106, New York, NY10087-7106. Arrangement under the direction of Beecher & Bennett-Taylor Funeral Home, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.

  1. I have to say my Mom was the best in the whole world. Picnic lunchs at Island beach,sleep overs outside in tents and making breakfast on the grill for everyone in the morning,driving to New Hampshire just for the day. I will never forget all the great times we had. Everyone wanted you as a Mom I am so glad you were mine. It ia going to be hard without you here but I know you are our Angel now and are watching us and will always be here. I will see you when it is my time. I miss you and love you.
