Caroline (Carol) Ella Hyatt Manwaring Entered into eternal rest, Dec. 6, 2001 in New Haven. Carol was the beloved wife of George D. Manwaring of Bayshore Dr., West Haven. She celebrated her 75th birthday on Oct. 4, 2001 and with George, their 44th wedding anniversary on Nov. 28, 2001. Besides her husband, Carol leaves 2 foster daughters, Mary Ann Gaudreau and Josephine Esposito, both of Fall River, MA, also a brother and sister-in-law, Theodore (Ted) and Sandra Hyatt of West Haven, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank & Marcia Manwaring of Battle Creek, MI. Carol was predeceased by 2 brothers-in-law, The Rev. Stanley Manwaring of Boca Raton, FL and John Manwaring of Yarmouth Port, MA. Carol also leaves, sisters-in-law, Ruth Manwaring (widow of Stanley) of Boca Raton, FL, Mary Manwaring Stoos (former wife of John) of Hempstead, MD and Mary Manwaring (widow of John) of Hyannis, MA and dearest friends of Patricia Lundgren and James Ellum of Milford, CT, Carl & Jean Swanhall of Newtown, CT, The Rev. Magar & Sarah Bedrosian of Spring Hill, FL and The Rev. Robert & Alice Strobel of New Brighton, MN and 16 nieces and nephews. Carol had worked many years at Nationwide Insurance Co. of Hamden and in 1987 retired from Cadbury-Schweppes in Stamford, CT. She was active in community suppers at St. John's Church in Bridgeport, volunteered with George at the collapse of LaAmbiance in Bridgeport, 10 years at WHEAT in West Haven and 10 years in the Christ Church Outreach Committee and annual Thanksgiving Dinner. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church, 28 Church St., West Haven, on Sun., Dec. 16 at 12 noon with interment of her cremains in the Christ Church Memorial Garden. A reception by the 'Goodwills' will follow in the Common Room at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to WHEAT, 674 Washington Ave., West Haven 06516 or to Christ Church, 28 Church St., West Haven 06516. She is now at peace and in a better place.
