Caroline J. Sandillo

Caroline J. Sandillo, 103, a longtime resident of Hamden, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the St. Raphael's Campus at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank A. Sandillo. She leaves a son, Robert M. Sandillo of Hamden, and one sister, Virginia Dobuzinsky (George) of New Haven. She was predeceased by four brothers; John, James, Anthony, and Alfred DeRusso, and three sisters; Elsie Flynn, Rose Butler, and Eleanor Pinski. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Caroline was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Hamden and also a client at the Clelian Adult Daycare Center. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a saleswoman at Sears and Macy's. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Caroline's family on Monday, July 25th from 8:30-9:30 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be held at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Memorial contributions in Caroline's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
