  19. I had the good fortune to work with Cele while a student at SCSU. She supervised my internship at ESGIRC and immediately became a friend and mentor. Her warmth, knowledge, professionalism, and expertise were all combined in such a way as make her a valued advocate and friend for all who were disabled. She encouraged me to come and work at ESGIRC and we worked together for almost 8 years. She was an amazing colleague, friend, and a good soul. It was my privilege to know her and learning of her death now has saddened me deeply. We lost contact but I never forgot about Cele and how she influenced me. Rest with the angels Cele . . . You were loved by all. Olga Ryder

  20. I just learned today that Cele had passed away. Cele was my supervisor at ESGIRC and gave me my first supervisory opportunity, which led to working in management at Yale. She was a supportive boss … funny, intelligent and unique… had an amazing ability to really listen and empathize… and I’ll always remember her socks. She made a real difference in many lives and will be missed.
