Charles A. Berlepsch, age 86, of Wallingford, formerly of Hamden & Winter Haven, FL, passed away on April 9, 2011. Charles is the husband of Betty Christensen Berlepsch. Born in New Haven on February 19, 1925 he was the son of the late Charles A. Berlepsch, Sr, & Ida Contois Berlepsch. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran, member of the American Legion Post 88 in Hamden, serving there as a Past Commander & Parade Marshall, member of the Hamden Elks, the Masonic Day Spring Lodge and a former member & Past President of the Hamden Rotary Club. Charles owned and operated the CAB Electric & the Tri Power Electric Companies. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Mary-Ellen & her husband Richard Maybury of Northford; his sons, Richard & his wife Cheryll Berlepsch of Hamden, Edward & his wife Nora Berlepsch of Pataskala, Ohio and Carl & his wife Patricia Berlepsch of North Haven; a sister Joan Junior of Madison; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Charles was predeceased by his sister, Mildred Cline. Friends may visit with his family at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Wednesday, April 13, from 10:00 to 11:00 am and may attend his funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be private with his family. Contribution in his memory may be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation, 22 Masonic Ave, Wallingford, CT 06492.
