In the Hospital of St. Raphael, Dec. 24, 2007, Charles E. Linsley, of Hill St., Milford formerly of Orange and West Haven, husband of the late Erna Petrie Linsley, father of Janet Kelly and her husband, Michael of West Haven, Thomas Linsley and his wife, Martha of Weverville, NC, step-father of Nancy Howard Neville of Manchester, CT. Also survived by his first wife, Marjorie H. Linsley, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Charlotte VanWilgen, Florence Juniver, Anna Jacobson, Ruby Scranton, Ester White, Dorothy Platt and a brother, George Linsley. Charles was born in North Branford, Aug. 9, 1923 a son of the late Charles and Harriett Mabry Linsley. He was a WW II U.S. Navy veteran and served from 1942 - 46. He had worked in the air conditioning maintenance department of BIC Corp. of Milford and was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Haven where he was loved by many of the members and Annawon Lodge #115 A.F.& A.M. of West Haven. Memorial service Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of West Haven. Contributions in his memory may be made to the First Congregational Church, Book of Remembrance, 1 Church St., West Haven, CT 06516 or to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT - TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
