Charles Edward Collett

Hamden- Charles Edward Collett, 69, of West Woods Rd, husband of 46 years to Mary Slattery Collett, passed away suddenly Nov. 14, 2004 in Norwalk Hospital. Father of Catherine C. Fredericksen of Wolcott, Charles E. Collett, Jr. of Hamden, Lucy A. Collett of Rockville Centre, NY, Daniel J. Collett of Advance, NC, Thomas A. Collett of Denville, NJ and Jonathan R. Collett of Norwalk and brother of John R. Collett of Wayne, PA. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Collett was born in Philadelphia, PA a son of the late Dr. William R. and Genevieve Frawley Collett and graduated from Temple University where he lettered in football and track, and was a member of the Theta Kappa Phi fraternity. He was a long time sales executive at U.S. Electrical Motors, and UMC Electronics Co. Inc. and recently was an inspector for Quiktrak, Inc. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Thurs., Nov. 18 at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Hamden at 11 a.m. Friends may call Wed. (TODAY) from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
