In Johnson City, NY, Feb. 11, 2006 Charles P. Johnson, age 80, of Orange and formerly of Stratford, husband of Judith Johnson. He was born March 1, 1925 in New Bedford, MA, son of the late Harry and Helen Johnson. He served during WW II in the 4th Marine Division in Iwo Jima. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Deborah and son-in-law, Durval Machado of Johnson City, NY, sons, Rick, Dennis and Gary Johnson, loving treasured granddaughters, Brittany and Morgan Machado, also grandchildren, Rick Johnson, Jr., Michele, Kim and Dawn and three great-grandchildren. He retired after working 20 years in advertising for Herald Graphics of Stratford. He was a past member of the Valley Yacht Club, served as Commodore from 1971-72, and was a private airplane pilot, a motorcycle instructor and an avid boater. Funeral service private and under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.

  1. CJ you were the brother In-Law anyone could want. How sad time had to come to a end but you are in peace now and forever in our hearts. The weekend are not the same as you and my sister and your brother In-Law jim traveled all over the towns and never settled in one place it has been two years since your passing and we still keep saying hey where did CJ take off to. Our hearts and thoughts are with you all the time our shopping in stores are now in and out as you liked to roam the store from one end to another but we still say this sure is strange as we go in and out. Rest in peace CJ we miss you every day
